The March Report

March went very fast... and yet... very slow.

Near the beginning Hannah was an Academic All Star... again.  Seemed a little ironic since mid-term report cards came and her grades didn't look so good. She was able to get some work turned in so the grades look better now.  Thank goodness!  We need her to keep those grades up so that she can get into the college of her choice.  She will need to start applying for colleges and scholarships all too soon.!

She really is a good student.  Illness and a crazy play schedule got the better of her in February.
Hannah helped out with a friend's senior project, a drama camp for elementary kids.  She spent time after school each day for a week helping kids learn about drama through games and activities and a short little play.  Her group was assigned to perform at Ash Creek Elementary School.  I could tell she was a great leader.  She claims that being a leader isn't her favorite... too bad for her.  She is a natural born leader.  The play was a little Dr. Seuss story.  It was hard to hear in the noisy gym, but they kids did a good job and the adults were all pleased.
Most of the family went to Utah for Spring Break.  Chad and Hannah left early and drove down with their cousin.  Hannah stayed in Logan with McKay and Myles.  Chad went further down the freeway and stayed in Utah Valley with the Lilly's.

Good thing McKay took pictures... and sent me updates withe text messaging.  Hannah and Chad didn't really talk to me all week.

Hannah got to go to the temple...
... and have some quality sister time...
... and go for family walks...
John and Lillian drove down later in the week.  I stayed at home with the dogs, cats, fish and chickens.  I had committed to help with the Pentacle show and the director was sure I needed to be there.... so I stayed.  I hate to travel, so I didn't mind too much... until I came home to an empty house... or had to get up with barking dogs... or spend a silent day or days, only talking to people at the show.  It got real old after awhile.

Meanwhile, the family had fun visiting family in Utah... they had so much fun that I didn't even really hear from John or Lillian.  Of course, they were in a cell phone no man's land.

One of the little things they did was to make little light houses as decorations for Grandma's party.  Hannah really got into her painting.  Grandma chose to keep Hannah's light house after the party, so I didn't get to see it.

Hannah is a bit of a neat freak.  She went out to dinner with McKay and Myles and couldn't bring herself to put the nut shells on the floor...
Myles helped her out... he swept her shells to the floor.  I love the look on her face.  LOL.
Lillian found things to do... even if it was to hang out in a tree.

Meanwhile, I stayed home to run special effect sound cues and to help the crew perform their duties for Young Frankenstein.  It seemed like such a long run.  Perhaps it seemed long because I got sick for a couple weeks.  The show finally closed at the end of the month.

Now we are on to April.  Rarely slows down around here.
